What is the Moctopus Preservation Society (MPS)? The Moctopus Preservation Society is an organization dedicated to the preservation of the moctopus population and the halting of the trade of meaf and other moctopus products world wide. The Moctopus Preservation Society was original founded in 1922 as part of the American temperance movement. Latin culture was bleeding into the southern American states via immigration and moctipi were seen as another 'evil' local custom that was been foistered upon the upstanding, chase, Christian populaton. At the time it was widely believe that moctopus hemoglobin was intoxicating. This was later found to be false, but not before many moctopi had been slaughtered and a thriving moctopi trade was born. The Moctopus Preservation Society was really founded in 1914 by Constance Sutton of New Jersery and Jonathan Abbot of Massachusets. They met one day at a Cryptozooology Seminar and realized that the were much more moved by the plight of moctopus. Together, they worked tirelessly for the next 82 years to bring the moctopus to the forefront of the eco-movement. Today the cause of the moctopus is carried on a by a global network of activists, artists, anarchists, occultists and turn-of-the-century adventurers and has raised 90 trillion dollars in donations. The Moctopus Preservation Society is an offshoot of Melindathemartian. Because monkeys are really from space. |
